As someone who is not ashamed to admit that I do a fair amount of my work clothes shopping at goodwill, I'm glad to see it is catching on as something The Cool Kids do.
Macklemore is a rapper from the Seattle area, which means some folks in the Northwest have been listening to him for years.
I'm not one of those folks, but I was introduced to his music about a year ago. I'm glad to see him getting a little bit of real airtime now. Youtube may make us endure Carly Rae Jepsen, but it also gives us Macklemore.
Yes...there is cursing...it's rap.
It has been cool to shop at second hand stores for a very long time... since I went to vampire parties, before they were called such things... what is it now, raves? Whatever. Not just poor, or us middlings, but the rich got in on that too... It starts, as usual, with saving money. But it became cool, somehow.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I don't shop there is because they never have clothes in my sizes. I'm probably in less than 1% of the male population that way, in the U.S. I wish I could though. Of course, the only real reason I would shop there is... less money. Like you. :p Some cool things actually pay.
